Day to Go : story and place weaved together in one magical journey…

The production took the form of a bus journey through the town of Barry. Audience members wore headphones through which they listened to a soundscape created out of voices from the past and stories from the present. Along the journey various characters and images appeared amongst the everyday sights and sounds of Barry: the Abandoned Bride, the Synchronised Swimmers and Butlins Redcoats, looking for campers to entertain. The result was a layered, evocative experience that invited the audience to consider their own life journey and the slippage between their past, present, and future.

Day to Go : stori a lle wedi’u gwehyddu mewn un daith hudolus…

Cyflwynwyd y cynhyrchiad ar ffurf taith fws drwy dref y Barri. Gwisgodd aelodau’r gynulleidfa glustffonau lle’r oeddent yn gwrando ar seinwaith a grëwyd o leisiau o’r gorffennol a straeon o’r presennol. Ar hyd y daith, ymddangosodd cymeriadau amrywiol ymysg golygfeydd a seiniau pob dydd yn y Barri: Priodferch Adawedig, y Nofwyr Cydamserol a Redcoats Butlins, yn chwilio am ymwelwyr i’w diddanu. Y canlyniad oedd profiad aml-haen, hudolus a oedd wedi gwahodd y gynulleidfa i ystyried eu taith bywyd eu hunain a’r gwehyddu rhwng eu gorffennol, eu presennol a’r dyfodol.
